Exploring MAP Multi-Tier Traceability (Transparent Mode)

Learn how to navigate a buyer or supplier-led mapped network where upstream supply chain data has been explicitly confirmed by buyers and/or suppliers. This guide demonstrates how to interact with a fully transparent MAP dataset and investigate deep-tier compliance and risks.

Step-by-Step Guidance

Access the Pre-Loaded MAP Dataset

  • Sign in to the NQC UAT Sandbox environment and ensure you have selected your Buyer alias account.

  • On your Dashboard, navigate to the My questionnaires tab.

  • Locate the Supply Chain Mapper titled CHEM: High-Performance Polyurethane Adhesive. (Use the Filter option near the top right of the Dashboard to search by name if necessary).

  • Click the View supply chain option on the dashboard tile to open the detailed traceability screens.

Navigate the Confirmed Supply Chain Views

  • Use the drop menu menu option at the top left of the screen to switch between the Component hierarchy and Component map views.

  • Notice that the network connections in the hierarchy view are displayed as solid full lines. This visually indicates that the network is built on confirmed supplier data, distinguishing it from the dotted lines used in our predictive MINEai models.

Apply SURVEIL Risk Overlays

  • Click the sliders icon (Filter) located next to the product name at the top left of the screen.

  • Select Surveillance risks from the menu to filter risks based on risk type and rating.

Investigate Individual Suppliers & Risk Events

  • Click directly on any supplier node in the hierarchy or map to open its detailed profile in the right-hand panel.

Sandbox Tip 1 (Sanctions Risk): Locate and select the node for Petrochina Liaoyang Petroleum Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. In the right-hand panel, select the Risk details tab. Click on the risk titled Governance, Economics & Compliance to access information about the sanction itself, including a direct link to view the detailed files on the active EU Consolidated Sanctions List.

Sandbox Tip 2 (Adverse News): Locate and select the node for SOCAR Trading SA. Open the Risk details tab and click on the risk titled Geopolitics, Sovereign & Societal Security to view the related adverse news article captured by our media surveillance engine.
